[Sportschosun Lee Ge-eun] Singer Ok-hee has been laid to rest.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on the 24th at the funeral hall of Seoul Asan Hospital, under the supervision of the Korean Singers Association.

The service will be conducted as a worship ceremony, reflecting the late singer's devout Christian faith. Korean Singers Association President Park Sang-cheol will deliver the eulogy, and the program will include a video tribute from her lifetime, followed by floral tributes and incense offerings.

The Korean Singers Association paid tribute to her, saying, "She was a singer who devoted herself to the development of Korean popular music and brought comfort and inspiration to countless people." It added, "Her legacy in the entertainment world will be remembered for a long time."

Meanwhile, Ok-hee died on the 20th after battling kidney cancer. She was 73. Born in 1953, she debuted in 1968 as the leader of the group Seoul Sisters and switched to a solo career in 1974, winning love for songs such as "Hold Hands" and "Neighbor Cousin."

She married former Korea Boxing Commission chairman Hong Su-hwan in 1977, but they divorced after two years. The couple remarried in 1995 and had one son and one daughter.
