[Sportschosun Baek Ji-eun] MONSTA X's Kihyun, known for his reliable performances, has raised the excitement for his comeback.
On the 23rd, the trailer for Kihyun's second mini album, Borderline, was released on MONSTA X's official social media accounts. The video opens with Kihyun looking at a screen showing himself, then unfolds through a range of moods, from relaxed and natural everyday moments to scenes of deep reflection. Kihyun's narration adds to the intrigue: "While traveling, you come across unexpected roads. There are moments when you step away from familiar directions and stand before a landscape you've never seen before. I, too, was going through such a time. The traces of the path I have walked have become one route, and now I am completing a map that feels most like me." The clip is further enhanced by kitschy yet colorful drawing effects.
Kihyun will release Borderline at 6 p.m. on July 7.
Borderline is his first solo album in about 3 years and 9 months, following his first mini album, Youth, released in 2022. The album captures his journey of growth as he searched for his own path, and Kihyun has poured his honest musical story into the release.
Kihyun is currently meeting fans through MONSTA X's world tour, THE X : NEXUS.
