Shinji: "I Ordered the Bra Lee Ji-hye Advertised, but It Was AI... I Was So Shocked"

[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Koyote's Shinji revealed that she had been fooled by a fake advertisement created with deepfake technology, expressing her shock.

On the 24th, a video titled "A Healing Course in Namhansanseong, Near Seoul. From Eating Samgyetang to a Valley Cafe!" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Not_found." That day, Shinji visited Namhansanseong with her husband Moon Won and shared an update while enjoying a relaxed time together.

During the conversation, Shinji recalled a bizarre experience she recently had on Social Networking Service (SNS). She began by saying, "I was so shocked while looking at SNS. If something pops up on my SNS, I usually buy it."

She continued, "But two days ago, Shop Lee Ji-hye's older sister introduced a bra. It had very thin straps. It looked so good that I ordered it and was waiting for it, but then an article came out," drawing curiosity.

Shinji then explained that the video was not a real advertisement, but fake content produced with AI. She said, "It was AI. It was a Chinese product, and it used her face. But she said she had never filmed such an ad," adding, "I was really shocked."

Speaking about the deepfake ad that spread suddenly, Shinji said, "For people like me who get tempted and buy things, how are we supposed to trust anything now? We were fooled by AI, weren't we?" expressing her confusion.

After hearing this, Moon Won also said, "I saw them promoting straps like that too," showing his sympathy. Shinji again said, "It's so shocking," and expressed her surprise once more.

Earlier, Lee Ji-hye had personally raised concerns about having her face used without permission in what appeared to be a deepfake incident.

On the 18th, Lee Ji-hye said through her SNS account that an advertisement video she had not filmed was being circulated, stating, "I did not shoot this." She also warned, "I have been receiving many DMs lately, but you must never go through that link and buy anything. Please be careful."

She also expressed concern about the site linked to the video, saying, "It seems to be somewhere in China. It is written in Korean, but if you look closely, something feels off." She added, "I really dislike where this was made," showing her displeasure.

In the video, Lee Ji-hye was shown eating dried sweet potato snacks and promoting lingerie products, but it was reported that the content was not actually filmed by her.
