Actors Heo Nam-joon and Lim Ji-yeon showed deep trust and affection for each other.
On the June 24 episode of tvN's "You Quiz on the Block," rising star Heo Nam-joon appeared after gaining attention as a romantic-comedy standout for his role as Cha Segye in the drama "Brave New World."
That day, Heo praised Lim Ji-yeon, his co-star, saying, "My older sister had a lot of lines, and many of them were difficult. But I never once saw her make a mistake." He added, "If anything, I thought I had to work even harder. That gave me an even better kind of tension."
Lim Ji-yeon also expressed special affection for Heo Nam-joon. She said, "Meeting an actor like Heo Nam-joon and finding a partner I could communicate with without hesitation felt like such a miracle."
She said there were many moments when the heavy workload and responsibility left her physically and emotionally drained. "He lifted me back up like a vitamin every time," she said. "I was his senior, but beyond that, I relied on him so much." She added, "While filming, I kept thinking, 'I'm glad Segye is Nam-joon.'"
Heo Nam-joon also gave all the credit to Lim Ji-yeon. He said, "I always joke on set, 'It's all thanks to me. It's because I have such a good personality,' but my sister really does have a great personality." He continued, "No matter how hard things get, she never really shows it. Even if I tried to be a vitamin on set, the atmosphere would never have worked unless she met me halfway and matched my chemistry." He added, "She joked around warmly, matched my rhythm, and was incredibly considerate. I benefited a lot from her."
