[Sportschosun, Kim Soo-hyun] Broadcaster Song Eun-yi broke into a sweat after receiving an unexpected tip that she had "knelt down and poured soju 20 years ago," but it turned out to be a heartwarming story.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel VIVO TV featured a segment in which subscribers sent in their stories.
That day, one subscriber sent in a message saying, "Actually, I’m the person for whom Eun-yi noona knelt down and poured soju 20 years ago. I’m curious about what happened. If you want to know, call me," sparking curiosity.
Song Eun-yi could not hide her embarrassment at the unexpected tip. After hearing the story, Kim Sook joked, "She’s not the kind of person who would pour soju for someone else. She was too busy drinking it herself," drawing laughter.
Song Eun-yi said, "I have a bad feeling that there will be some strange tip about me," and added, "If I don’t answer, just pass," showing her nervousness as she hoped the call would not go through.
She called directly, but as the ringing continued, Song Eun-yi shouted, "Don’t answer. Please, don’t answer," and let out a sigh of relief when the call did not connect at first.
However, a little later, the tipster called again, and the story from that time was finally revealed.
The subscriber recalled, "It was a gathering where everyone sat together and drank. As I remember it, Song Eun-yi did not drink that much. She seemed to be going around pouring drinks for people to keep the mood going."
He then explained the situation at the time, saying, "She was in the middle of filming My Child Has Changed. After the shoot, we went to a restaurant with floor seating for the after-party, and I was working part-time as the youngest member of the production team."
He added, "Eun-yi noona said she would pour a drink for everyone. I was crouched in a corner, and because it was a floor-seating restaurant, she knelt down and poured drinks for each person one by one instead of walking around to everyone."
When it became clear that this was not a scandal about drunken behavior or a drinking mishap, but rather a kind story, Song Eun-yi was greatly relieved.
Song Eun-yi laughed and said, "Honestly, I was so worried because I thought it might not be completely untrue."
Looking back on that day, the tipster said, "Since then, Song Eun-yi has been No. 1 in my heart. It was a difficult time, with frequent changes on set and different people coming and going. I met many celebrities, but hardly anyone spoke to me." He added, "But I was sitting in the corner, and Eun-yi noona said, 'You’ve worked hard,' and poured me a drink.
