[Sportschosun Reporter Park A-ram] A child who drew sympathy after losing his mother in a drunk-driving traffic accident will meet Dr. Oh Eun-young again.
On Friday, the 26th, at 9 p.m., Channel A's "My Golden Kids" will unveil "the moving six-year story that moved South Korea."
The studio will bring together special families who have shared the six-year journey of caring for children without rest. Dr. Oh Eun-young, who has helped guide the transformation of countless children, will reunite with the people at the center of those changes.
In the observed footage, viewers will see the dramatically changed daily life of a multinational couple from episode 202, whose mother once spoke of depression caused by the burden of raising children alone. The father steps in to take on a new child-rearing role in place of the mother, who has taken her first steps back into society. The segment will also show updates on a single father family from episode 211, who had pushed training and career dreams onto their child; a child from episode 224 who showed tic symptoms involving swallowing air; and a Canadian mother from episode 57 who struggled with language barriers.
Another video will feature a child with selective mutism who once received strong support from viewers in the early days of the program. The child, who had struggled to speak in the past, has now grown into a teenager preparing to enter middle school. The child is active as a handball player and even serves as class vice president, surprising viewers with the transformation. A changed daily routine will also be shown, including ordering food directly at a family meal.
Meanwhile, the family of the child who lost a mother in a drunk-driving traffic accident and touched many viewers' hearts will also appear in the studio. The child, who drew major attention at the time of broadcast, is now 19 and preparing for the written test for a driver's license. Having grown up leaning on each other with the father, the child is now approaching adulthood, thinking about independence and slowly regaining a smile. In particular, a surprise gift prepared personally for Dr. Oh Eun-young is said to have filled the studio with warm emotion.
Six years of laughter and tears with countless families. The brilliant journey that moved and delighted South Korea will come to a close on Friday, the 26th, at 9 p.m. on Channel A's "My Golden Kids."
