On the 25th, Ko Ji-yong wrote on his personal account, "I hope this summer is a little less difficult for our seniors. This summer is said to be even hotter than last year. Extreme heat is hard on everyone, but it can be an even greater danger for seniors who live alone."
He added, "Today, I finished a work meeting with the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone and the Korea Social Security Information Service to discuss support for seniors during the heat wave," along with hashtags including #ComprehensiveSupportCenterfortheElderlyLivingAlone, #KoreaSocialSecurityInformationService, #Bokjiro, #WelfareMembership, and #WelfareCrisisAlertApp.
In the photos released with the post, Ko Ji-yong is seen smiling brightly with officials. His somewhat gaunt face drew attention, but his cheerful expression while taking part in volunteer work gave the moment a warm feel.
Recently, online users have also voiced concern about Ko Ji-yong's health. In past photos, his noticeably slimmer cheeks sparked speculation that he might be dealing with health issues.
In response, one fan shared a recent TikTok Live video and explained, "Because photos from when he was in poor health a few years ago kept circulating, many people still think he looks that way now." In the recent video, Ko Ji-yong interacted naturally with fans and appeared much more stable, putting rumors about his health to rest.
