[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Chae Seo-eun of "One Mike" shared a heartwarming story about Jun Ji-hyun.
A video titled "I Hated It More Than Zombies.. The Main Villain of 'The Wailing' in Effect! The Unexpected Identity of This Actor" was recently uploaded to the YouTube channel "One Mike."
Chae Seo-eun, who acted alongside Go Soo and Jun Ji-hyun in the film "The Wailing" as a school bully, shared an anecdote about Jun Ji-hyun. Chae Seo-eun said, "I was such a rookie that during my first shoot, I thought I should just greet everyone properly as a newcomer and focus on doing my own part well, so I didn’t dare approach her. I also love food, and she kept preparing and bringing food herself. She once brought apples with a sauce she made herself from Greek yogurt and said, 'You’re hungry, right? Eat up.'"
She continued, "Even after filming ended, we had the chance to go to Cannes, and we all had a post-shoot gathering there. She greeted me first, hugged me, and said, 'I think you did so well,' which made me so happy. She even asked for my number first, and we have a group chat. I can’t be active there very often either, but sometimes I really want to gush over her like a fan. When a pictorial came out, I couldn’t hold back and texted her on KakaoTalk, and she replied, 'Kikikikiki, thank you.' She’s incredibly kind."
That was not the only heartwarming story. Chae Seo-eun said, "As an actress, I cried a lot there too, and once I didn’t know where the camera was, so I kept crying the whole time. But she told me, 'What matters right now is over there, and I don’t think you’ll get caught, so don’t lose your energy. I don’t think we’ve shot your bust shot yet, so you’ll need to do it then.' I was so relieved. She also told me, 'I think you’ll do well after this is over.' Both Ji-hyun sunbaenim and Kyuhwan sunbaenim, and all the senior actors, took interest in the student actors first, came up to us first, and kept asking about us. I was really grateful."
