[Sportschosun Lee Ge-eun] Actor Hong Seok-cheon spoke about an ex-boyfriend he lived with for four years.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel Annyeong Hansamyo released an episode of Hong Seok-cheon titled "The Life of a Single Man."
When the production team asked whether he was single, Hong Seok-cheon said, "I am single, but I am always dating someone. As I get older, the periods between relationships seem to get longer."
The production team then added, "Once you combine households and date for a long time, there must be a lot of things that get tangled up," and Hong Seok-cheon replied, "That's right. I've been through all of that," as he began speaking candidly about his past relationships.
He drew attention by mentioning an American ex-boyfriend with whom he had lived for four years. Hong Seok-cheon said, "We lived together for four years and then broke up, but he asked me for alimony. He wanted compensation for the four years we lived together." He said he actually paid it, out of gratitude for someone he had loved and who had stayed by his side during hard times.
Hong Seok-cheon added with a bitter smile, "But then he moved to a rented place in Nonhyeon-dong and was living there with another man. And that man was someone I knew."
Meanwhile, Hong Seok-cheon made headlines in 2000 when he became the first celebrity in South Korea to come out as gay.
