[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Singer and broadcaster Gree will appear as a special guest on "Salimnam."
On the 27th, KBS 2TV's "Mr. House Husband Season 2" (hereinafter "Salimnam") will feature Gree, who is five months out of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, appearing as a special guest and showing his real-life father-son chemistry with his father, Kim Gura.
Gree, who began appearing on television with Kim Gura at age 9, said, "Until now, I have mostly appeared on shows as an add-on to my dad's life." He added, "This time, I was the one who got the offer, so I called my dad. I want to show my confident and energetic life on my own." He then led Kim Gura to his favorite place, a PC bang, where he presented a special course he had prepared himself, planning a day unlike any of his previous broadcasts.
But just as things seemed to be going according to Gree's plan, veteran entertainer Kim Gura began taking over the atmosphere with his trademark wit and hosting skills. Not only did he ask about Gree's hopes for appearing on "Salimnam," but he also brought up family matters involving Gree's stepmother, gradually taking control of the shoot. Kim Gura then took charge of everything from the filming schedule to the direction, continuing to interfere and nag without pause. In the end, Gree made everyone laugh by declaring, "Today is my last joint appearance. I don't think we'll be seeing any more two-shots." Attention is now focused on how the bickering chemistry between this real father and son will end.
The two also opened up about their honest feelings. Gree, who has spent 20 years in broadcasting with his father, said, "Throughout my broadcasting career, I was always tied to my dad. I have never personally taken the lead in anything." He candidly expressed how he feels about being labeled as "Kim Gura's son." Gree also revealed, "After the meeting for Salimnam, my dad called me about 40 times, once or twice a day." Studio cast members reportedly could not hide their surprise at Kim Gura's unexpected paternal devotion, as he had carefully looked after his discharged son's future.
Gree's new challenge, after living for 20 years as "Kim Gura's son," and the special day shared by this real father and son, filled with laughter and sincerity, will air on KBS 2TV's "Salimnam" at 9:20 p.m. on the 27th.
