[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] On 'Pinggyego,' Choi Min-sik shared his candid views on celebrity dating rumors.
On the 27th, a video titled 'Fan Meeting Is Just an Excuse' was uploaded to the YouTube series 'Pinggyego,' featuring actors Choi Min-sik and Choi Hyun-wook as guests.
Choi Min-sik, who worked with Choi Hyun-wook in Netflix's 'The Boy at the End of the Line,' praised Choi Hyun-wook's acting. He said, "What I want to tell Hyun-wook as a senior is that you have to be careful about saying things like 'You're the top star' or 'You're doing great.'" He added, "You should not be satisfied with being told you're good. You have to be even stricter with yourself. That's how this job lasts a long time, how you develop a philosophy, and how you truly come to love the work. If you start setting your own standards based on outside reactions, there is no end to it."
Choi Min-sik continued, "I'm not trying to put pressure on him, but he needs to seriously think about why he's doing this and what he can learn from it. What will change in my life? Thinking more about those things is what helps you grow." He added, "That's why I'm even more excited for what lies ahead for him. I hope he can keep the same mindset, the same attitude, and the same approach to his work for a long time."
He went on to say, "I hope Hyun-wook dates too. He should date freely." He added, "People date when they're young. But when they date, everyone treats it like a scandal and looks at it so negatively. Young men and women are dating, and then some guy..." He became emotional. Choi Min-sik then snapped, saying, "I suddenly feel my temper rising." Yoo Jae-suk tried to calm him down, saying, "Sir, have a drink first." Yoo Jae-suk said he understood Choi Min-sik's feelings, explaining, "Since you're in the industry and seeing younger actors like this, it must be frustrating." Choi Min-sik then stated his position, saying, "They should be able to experience love. As long as they're not doing anything wrong, that's enough."
