[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Model Lee Hyun-yi was startled by how much more she spent than expected during a trip to Seongsu-dong.
On the 27th, the YouTube channel 'Working Mom Lee Hyun-yi' uploaded a video titled, "Do people really greet each other like 'Yaho~!' these days? Lee Hyun-yi and Song Hae-na try to keep up with Seongsu-dong MZ."
In the video, Lee Hyun-yi and Song Hae-na first checked out the 'Five Rules of Seongsu Banned Words' before heading out for their Seongsu outing in earnest. The prohibited phrases included, "Why would you do that?", "A soulless reaction", "For this money", and "Do we really have to stand in line for this?"
The two first headed to a shop that sells keycaps, a popular item among Generation MZ. They were intrigued by the idea of decorating keycaps to suit their own tastes, but both looked shocked when they learned that one keycap cost about 15,000 won. As they browsed various accessories, including lace headbands and wappen patches for straps, Song Hae-na honestly admitted, "I'm saying this quietly, but it really is expensive."
Lee Hyun-yi kept adding small items to her basket, then was stunned when she saw the final total at the checkout counter. When the bill came to 159,000 won, she let out a hollow laugh and said, "They say a drizzle soaks your clothes, and I only picked up items worth 2,000 or 3,000 won each, but it still came to 159,000 won."
But the shopping did not end there. They also tried a custom perfume-making experience, visited a famous salt bread shop in Seongsu-dong, and enjoyed more Generation MZ activities, including decorating key rings.
Lee Hyun-yi stopped by a cafe to take a short break and checked the receipt, saying, "I came here really planning not to spend a single penny." In just three hours, the two had spent a total of 610,000 won. Seeing that amount, they burst out laughing and said, "If we've spent this much, it's time to part ways now."
Finally, as they were about to head off for a Life Four Cuts photo session, they heard that it would cost 30,000 to 40,000 won, while a retouching package would cost 60,000 won. They joked, "Do they make you into Suzy?" and drew more laughter.
