[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Comedian Jung Joo-ri candidly shared why she became a mother of five and expressed her unwavering affection for her husband.
On the 27th episode of MBN's "Dongchimi," Jung Joo-ri, known as the mother of five sons, appeared and talked about her married life and parenting.
When asked whether she kept having children because she wanted a daughter or because she and her husband were so close, Jung Joo-ri answered without hesitation, "I love him so much," showing her affection for her husband.
She went on to say, "We said, 'Let's have them as they come,'" and added candidly, "But my husband had the procedure this time. He thought even tying it wouldn't work, so he had it done."
Jung Joo-ri drew attention by saying, "If my husband hadn't had a vasectomy, I think we would have had seven children," and added once again, "It wasn't for the purpose of having children. I just love him." Hyun Young then made everyone laugh by saying, "I saw it. They really love each other," and, "Their eyes are different from the start."
She also gave an update on her parenting life. Jung Joo-ri said, "My husband is watching the kids today," and added, "Our youngest started daycare this year. Before that, it was really nonstop."
She continued, "Before that, my husband was the only one working, but with five children, education costs and food expenses are no joke," sharing her practical concerns. Jung Joo-ri then said, "My husband asked me, 'How much do you think you'll make if you go out to work this time?' He compares whose daily pay is more cost-effective. When I told him my appearance fee for 'Dongchimi,' he said, 'Then you should go.'" Her remarks drew laughter.
