Lyn's first confession about her divorce: "Yoon Jong-shin said, 'It must be either a divorce or a pregnancy'"

[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Ji-hyun] Singer Lyn opened up about how difficult it was to reveal her divorce.

On the 28th episode of SBS's "My Little Old Boy," Lyn and Baek Ji-young, who have been close friends for 20 years, appeared and showed their chemistry as longtime friends.

That day, Lyn listened to Baek Ji-young talk about her marriage and children, and began by saying, "I think building a family, having children, and living that life is so amazing."

Baek Ji-young then comforted Lyn, saying, "I think the bond between a married couple is the most mysterious and sacred thing. It is so mysterious and sacred that it is hard to protect. The fact that I am still protecting mine is admirable, but I think it is much harder to part ways when you cannot protect it. When you told me about your divorce, I thought it must have been incredibly hard for you."

Lyn then recalled the day she first told Baek Ji-young about her divorce. She said, "I wanted to tell my sister first, so I rushed over after finishing my schedule for 'Immortal Songs,' but Yoon Jong-shin and Kim Bum-soo were around her." She added, "I only wanted to tell my sister, but she ended up saying, 'Se-jin has something to say.' So Yoon Jong-shin said, 'What Se-jin has to say must be either a divorce or a pregnancy.'"

Lyn went on to say, "But everyone naturally moved past that moment, so just saying it felt like I was officially telling someone." She added calmly, "Everyone worried about me a lot, and it all passed smoothly."

Tears welled up as soon as she heard the story.

Meanwhile, Lyn and singer Lee Soo announced their divorce in August 2025, saying they would go their separate ways after 11 years of marriage.
