"&TEAM VR Concert: Boundless" is a cinematic VR concert that follows &TEAM as they escape a secret laboratory and reunite with LUNE in the shadows of the city on a journey to rediscover who they are. It weaves signature songs such as "Back to Life," "We on Fire," and "BUZZ LOVE" into a single narrative, creating a new level of immersion that blurs the line between performance and film.
The VR concert opened simultaneously in Seoul, Japan, Taiwan, and Macau on Friday the 26th. It will then continue screening in major Asian cities, including Bangkok on July 1, Osaka on July 4, Hiroshima on July 13, Singapore on July 17, Yokohama on July 21, and Miyagi Prefecture on July 31. Audience interest has been intense since the release. During the first ticket sale, major time slots on opening day sold out quickly. It also ranked fourth at the Megabox box office, signaling a strong start.
The 30-second main trailer released with the official opening also heightened anticipation. Spaces reminiscent of a secret laboratory, powerful performances, and rapidly intercut scenes hinted at the scale of the production and drew attention. Member Harua said, "Because it is VR, you can freely change your gaze and look around at different things," raising expectations for a viewing experience that only VR can offer.
The quality of the cinematic direction also stands out. Original props created to match the story world, an original score recorded with live instruments, and the members' cinematic voice acting come together to complete a narrative that feels like a film. In particular, AMAZE's ultra-high-resolution 12K technology adds vivid immersion, making viewers feel as if they are in the same space as &TEAM. Attention is now focused on how &TEAM's first cinematic VR concert, which blurs the boundaries between performance, film, and VR, will resonate beyond Korea and into the global market.
Meanwhile, "&TEAM VR Concert: Boundless" will be available at Megabox Hongdae through July 19.
