[Sportschosun Reporter Ahn So-yoon] Actor Choo Young-woo gave fans an unforgettable memory.
Choo Young-woo successfully held his solo fan meeting, "2026 CHOO YOUNG WOO FANMEETING [CHOO-prise!] in SEOUL" (hereinafter "CHOO-prise!"), on the 27th at Daeyang Hall, Sejong University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The event was held twice.
"CHOO-prise!" combines "CHOO," which refers to Choo Young-woo, and "Surprise." True to the title, Choo Young-woo opened the fan meeting by singing Roy Kim's "To You" and kicked off the event with a live band performance. He said, "Since the fan meeting title is 'CHOO-prise!,' I thought long and hard about what kind of surprise gift I could give. I prepared this because I thought you might enjoy a live band performance."
He then added a warm greeting, saying, "I prepared this fan meeting to give back the love I have received from all of you, Huchu." Choo Young-woo also shared updates fans had been curious about, including news that he is filming ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama "Love Doctor" and the Netflix series "Long Vacation," both scheduled to air this year.
Through the "CHOO-prise Unboxing" segment, Choo Young-woo introduced his real daily routine and then visited the first- and second-floor audience sections to interact more closely with fans. Fan-participation segments such as "It's Choo Young-woo's birthday, so we'll do whatever Huchu asks" were also prepared. He responded enthusiastically to fans' various requests, showing his exceptional affection for them. In the second session, he also held a special cake-decorating segment called "CHOO Cake Decorating," adding to the excitement.
In particular, Choo Young-woo drew attention by communicating directly with fans through an open chat room. He also spent meaningful time with them by helping choose the name of the official cheering light stick.
The stage lineup was also diverse. Choo Young-woo showcased his signature sweet vocals through cover performances he personally selected for fans, including Lee Juck's "Lies Lies Lies," "Shall We Walk Together," Byun Jin-sub's "To a Lady," and Lee Su-hyun's "Yeon’s Letter." He had already proven his vocal ability by singing OSTs from his previous works, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans.
Choo Young-woo said, "I've been focusing on filming lately and haven't been able to meet fans often, so I'm truly grateful that you came all this way. It feels like just yesterday that I was on my fan meeting tour, and I can't believe so much time has already passed. I will do my best so that I can continue to be remembered as a good actor and a good person," and bowed deeply to the fans with sincere gratitude.
Meanwhile, Choo Young-woo will hold his solo fan meeting, "2026 CHOO YOUNG WOO FANMEETING [CHOO-prise!] in JAPAN," on July 20 at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo.
