Park Mi-sun, Who Underwent Cancer Surgery, Reveals She Has Only a Handful of Real Friends in Entertainment... "I’m Grateful to Kim Jung-nan for

[Sportschosun Lee Gae-eun] Comedian Park Mi-sun reflected on the meaning of true friendship as she expressed gratitude to the close friends who stood by her during her battle with breast cancer.

On the 29th, a video titled "A 20-Year Friendship Trip of Close Friends Park Mi-sun and Kim Jung-nan to Jeju Island in a Convertible to See Hydrangeas (The Friendship of Middle-Aged Women Lasts Until Death)" was released on Kim Jung-nan's YouTube channel.

That day, Kim Jung-nan and Park Mi-sun took a friendship trip to Jeju Island with an acquaintance. After enjoying good food and going out together, Park Mi-sun also thanked the two friends as they watched the sunset.

Park Mi-sun said, "If you have even 10 friends to watch the sunset with, that is a happy life," and Kim Jung-nan laughed, saying, "Isn't 10 a bit too many?"

Park Mi-sun paused and said, "I have two. Come to think of it, I don't really have friends." When people responded, "You must have a very wide social circle" and "Don't you know a lot of people?" Park Mi-sun explained, "People you know and people you can truly open your heart to are different. Real closeness means checking in every day, worrying about each other, and keeping in touch about what is going on. I don't think just knowing someone's name and phone number means you are close."

She added, "I think I have fewer than 10 close people. I often meet and eat with the two younger friends who are here with me now. In particular, those two friends cooked for me a lot when I was at my sickest. It was nothing fancy, but I was so grateful, and it was delicious."

Kim Jung-nan laughed and said, "I really improved my cooking skills back then."

Meanwhile, Park Mi-sun received a diagnosis of breast cancer in December 2024 and underwent chemotherapy. She later appeared on tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" and said, "Breast cancer is not something you can describe as fully cured. I am living with the mindset that if it comes back, I will just get treatment again." She has recently returned to work and is receiving strong support.
