[Sportschosun, Kim Soo-hyun] Actor Choi Sung-guk showed off his adorable family at a singing contest, appearing with his wife, who is 24 years younger than him, their 3-year-old son, and their 6-month-old daughter.
The TV Chosun program Love of Joseon, which aired on the 29th, featured a special singing contest marking its fifth anniversary.
Once all the participants had gathered, the show unveiled a stage on an impressive scale. Kim Gook-jin and Kang Susie took the stage as MCs.
The judges included trot legend Tae Jin-ah, national diva Insuni, rock legend Kim Tae-won, and ballad queen Yang Soo-kyung. The participants were all nervous after being surprised by the judges' identities, which were more unexpected than they had imagined.
When 32-month-old son Siyoon and 6-month-old daughter Sia appeared, everyone smiled with warm, aunt-and-uncle-like affection.
Hwang Bo-ra shouted, "He brought out a 6-month-old baby," while Jeong Yi-rang laughed, "How are you supposed to win if you come out holding a baby?"
Choi Sung-guk asked his eldest son Siyoon to introduce himself, and Siyoon confidently said, "I'm 3 years old. My dad is Choi Sung-guk, and my mom is Ahn Hye-jin. Please look kindly on our family."
Choi Sung-guk explained, "Unlike the other teams, the reason our whole family came out is that Love of Joseon is the history of our family."
Love of Joseon began in September 2022 as a chaotic look at the wedding preparations of Choi Sung-guk, a bachelor in his 50s. Choi was more sincere than anyone about the love he found at 51.
Then, in January 2023, Choi Sung-guk, then 41 and still unmarried, had his first wedding. Later, after welcoming his first child Siyoon at 42, he tearfully shared the story of his first child's birth.
In the winter of 2025, his second daughter Sia was born as well. For Choi Sung-guk, who had gone through marriage, childbirth, and parenting together with Love of Joseon, the moment felt even more meaningful.
Choi Sung-guk said, "Even though it's a competition, I thought it would become a memory and have meaning if we showed our family singing together, so I came out."
When asked what his father says most often at home, Siyoon immediately answered, "I love you," melting everyone's hearts.
