'K-AI Alliance' recently held 'Unite 2026' in the United States, seeking collaboration opportunities to expand its global competitiveness. K-AI Alliance is a coalition of AI companies formed to energize Korea's AI ecosystem and was launched in 2023 under the leadership of SK Telecom. Seven companies took part at the time of its launch, but the number of participating companies has now grown to more than 50. This year, the alliance's operating body changed from SK Telecom to the AI Committee under the SUPEX Council.

According to the SK AI Committee on the 28th, Unite 2026 was held on the 26th local time in Menlo Park, Silicon Valley, the United States. Unite is an event designed to bring together K-AI Alliance member companies and global investors in Silicon Valley, the center of the AI industry, to share the latest AI trends and investment developments and explore opportunities for global business cooperation.

At Unite 2026, K-AI Alliance unveiled 'K-AI Alliance 2.0' for the first time, a mid- to long-term operating strategy aimed at further strengthening collaboration among member companies and support for global business expansion. K-AI Alliance 2.0 focuses on growing into a platform that secures a wide range of cooperation opportunities by going beyond networking-based partnerships and expanding joint technology development, proof of concept projects, new service discovery, and global customer acquisition with major member companies such as SK Telecom, SK Hynix, and SK AX. The alliance also plans to run regular programs in key regions including Japan, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia to actively support member companies in attracting global investment and expanding their businesses.

Yoo Young-sang, chair of the SK AI Committee, said, "The AI industry is entering an era in which it is difficult for a single company to secure all the necessary competitiveness on its own, and real innovation becomes possible only when the AI full-stack ecosystem is organically connected." He added, "We will continue to expand our member base and strengthen our global network to develop this into a global AI ecosystem platform that investors and big tech companies turn to first."
