[Ahn So-yoon, Sportschosun reporter] Actor Kong Myung once again expressed his gratitude to his younger brother, NCT Doyoung, who gave him a car as a birthday present.

Kong Myung met with Sportschosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd and said, "If my younger brother ever wants to go somewhere later, I'll take him anywhere."

The Netflix film "Husbands," released on the 19th, is a comedy action movie about an unpredictable rescue mission in which a former husband and a current husband team up by chance to save a wife kidnapped by a criminal organization. Directed by Park Gyu-tae of "6/45," the film stars Kong Myung as Min-seok, the current husband of Si-nae.

Kong Myung drew attention after boasting on the recently released YouTube web variety show "Pinggyego" that "my younger brother gave me a car for my birthday." Asked about Doyoung's reaction, he said, "He contacted me from the military and said, 'Good job.' I first mentioned it on 'Pinggyego,' and it seems the response was strong, because a lot of people reached out to me. My brother said he felt a burst of dopamine for a moment and was happy. I'm still in the military, but if there's anywhere he wants to go by car later, I'll drive him there."

As for what birthday gift he would like to give Doyoung in return, he joked, "A lot of people are curious about that, but I don't feel awkward just because I received a car. I haven't really thought much about my younger brother's birthday next year. (Laughs) I think it would be nice to just treat him to a good meal." He added, "The only time I remember really being good to my younger brother was when we were kids. My parents both worked, so I was always the one looking after him. Until middle school, I always went everywhere with him."

He also said that working in the entertainment industry alongside Doyoung has given him a sense of reassurance. Kong Myung said, "Of course, since we do the same kind of work, I rely on him a lot. Even if we're family, if my younger brother weren't in this field, there would have been things I couldn't say, but it's nice that we can share things comfortably. Of course, he works in a different area from me, but he has appeared in musicals and web dramas, and I also once did group activities with Surprise. In that sense, I think we can help each other."
