[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Woo-joo] Model Lee Hyun-yi revealed why she apologized after sending her two sons to an elite private elementary school that was also her husband’s alma mater.
A short video titled "We Apologize for Spreading School Ghost Stories" was uploaded to Lee Hyun-yi’s YouTube channel on the 25th.
Lee Hyun-yi’s two sons were both admitted to an elite private elementary school with annual tuition of about 10 million won. The school was also where her husband graduated. Hong Seong-ki then explained how a conversation with his sons about the school led to the incident.
Hong Seong-ki said, "When the kids first entered school, there was a huge mural from our childhood called 'Kim Min-ji's Curse.' People said that if you found five hidden objects in the mural, you would die. Otherwise, you could encounter a ghost. After I told that story, Yoonseo went to see it. But while we were talking, what Yoonseo described was different from the picture I had in mind. When I went there, the mural had changed." He added, "But Yoonseo was the one who spread the rumor at school."
Lee Hyun-yi said, "When I told my friends, they were curious too. They wanted to go see it together, and then they told their families about it. So the mothers said, 'We heard there are scary stories going around the school these days,' and I apologized, saying, 'I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's my kids' father...'" Her remarks drew laughter. Hong Seong-ki also bowed his head and apologized to the parents, saying, "I'm sorry."
