Yoon So-yi Becomes the Owner of a Grilled Fish Restaurant: "She Grills, Serves, and Runs Around Herself"

Actress Yoon So-yi has revealed that she recently opened a grilled fish restaurant and transformed into a business owner.

PDC said on the 11th, "We heard that actress Yoon So-yi opened a grilled fish restaurant in Seongsu-dong, so we hopped on Seoul Subway Line 2 and went there right away."

It added, "While we were there, we wanted to see how business was going, grab lunch, and hear So-yi's story about why she suddenly opened the shop. Three birds with one stone."

In the released photos, Yoon So-yi, now transformed into a shop owner, is seen smiling brightly while holding grilled fish she cooked herself.

It also said, "She grills the fish herself and serves customers too. This is not just an owner, but a hands-on boss. Hear her story tonight at 6 p.m.!"

Yoon So-yi had previously revealed that she once ran a shop when she was 29 and at the height of her career.

She explained, "If I had many options for choosing projects before, I realized that my choices were much more limited at the time." She added, "My mother ran a business all her life, so after discussing it together, I chose jokbal as a menu item that could be packed, delivered, and also sold in the store."

At the time, Yoon So-yi promoted the restaurant with her then-boyfriend Jo Sung-yoon and worked hard to keep it running, but she eventually closed it after three years amid difficulties caused by rude customers and other problems.

Yoon So-yi said, "I also had to juggle it with drama work, and as a series of incidents piled up, I felt too young to handle it and thought, 'This isn't going to work. I should just focus on acting,' so I gave it up." She continued, "Looking back now, I regret giving up a business that was doing so well. I want to run a business again, but my husband is against it."

Meanwhile, Yoon So-yi married musical actor Jo Sung-yoon in 2017 and has a daughter.
