[Sportschosun reporter Jo Min-jeong] Broadcaster Jung Sun-hee shared her candid thoughts on the much-discussed 'Cardigan Hug Scene' from the drama 'We Are All Trying Here (Mojamussa).'
On the 10th, the YouTube channel 'Jib Nagan Jung Sun-hee' released a video titled 'Jung Sun-hee's Dressing Room Behind-the-Scenes Revealed for the First Time! Even the Protein Shake She Always Keeps in Her Bag.'
That day, Jung brought up the drama 'Mojamussa,' which she has been enjoying lately. She also expressed curiosity about the so-called 'Cardigan Hug Scene,' which had sparked heated debate online.
Referring to the scene, Jung asked, "Why did they include that scene?" The production team guessed, "Maybe they were trying to express a lack of a mother figure or maternal love," and Jung agreed, saying, "That does seem to be the intention."
However, she honestly admitted, "After that scene, I couldn't really stay immersed." She then drew laughter by saying, "If my boyfriend came over and asked me to do something like that, I think I would break up with him right away."
When the production team said, "Fortunately, you hadn't watched that episode yet," Jung replied, "If I had seen that scene, I would have kept asking why." She added, "I would have wondered why they put in that kind of setup," and said, "I would have wanted to ask viewers what they thought, too." She went on to say, "Even among people who love each other, opinions would clearly have split over whether they could accept that situation."
Still, Jung did not hide her affection for the drama itself. She had previously said, "This is a work I am really cherishing," adding, "I watch one episode at a time, like slowly enjoying a delicious meal. Later on, I think I will rewatch it so many times that I will end up memorizing the lines."
Meanwhile, the JTBC drama 'We Are All Trying Here' ended on May 24, with a viewership rating of 5.3 percent according to Nielsen Korea.
