[Sportschosun Woo-joo Lee] SeeYa's Nam Gyu-ri expressed frustration over an old article claiming she had slapped Lee Beom-soo.
On the 11th, a video titled "Three men at once?" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Once We Start Talking."
Nam Gyu-ri met with Lee Yong-jin and took a lie detector-style test. Lee asked, "Recent articles have called you a frozen human. Do you think that describes you?" and Nam replied, "No, I didn't."
She did, however, admit that she looks young for her age. Nam said with a laugh, "Being a frozen human and looking young are a little different."
Nam, who said she also received many acting offers before her debut, explained, "When I auditioned, I used 'I can act too' as a talent, saying, 'Please cast me because I'm good at acting too,' just so I could show one more thing I could do. But I really did get a lot of acting offers. I wanted to sing, so I thought it would be good to be good at one more thing, and that was why I said it. Back then, I thought, 'How could someone like me become an actress? That's something only someone this pretty could do.' So I never even considered acting."
Nam said she has a truth she wants to set straight. "When I was active as a child, articles rarely came out based on my own wishes. They were used for marketing," she said. "There was one time I was really taken aback. I was filming a movie. It was a horror film called Gosa. After filming, I got into the car while waiting for the food truck, and I had so many missed calls. I called my mother first, and she was crying, asking if I was okay."
Nam then revealed, "She said she saw an article claiming that I had been possessed, slapped Lee Beom-soo twice, and collapsed," surprising everyone.
It turned out to be part of the marketing strategy. Lee Yong-jin asked, "Why didn't you say something directly back then?" Nam replied, "I asked about that too. I asked how I was supposed to explain it, and they told me to say I couldn't remember. I couldn't say it was marketing. I was so young, and it hurt me a lot."
