[Sportschosun Woojoo Lee] Hyunsook from Season 28 showed off a building she renovated herself.
On the 11th, Hyunsook posted a video along with a message that read, "Even a rat bites when cornered. Giving up felt like a choice only people with the luxury of time could make. Even when it feels like you're going to die, you don't actually die that easily." She added, "For the past three years after my divorce, I feel like I've been running just trying to stay alive, whether I lived or died. I worked hard, and thankfully, many people helped me. I often get burned out. Still, as a mother of three, I keep moving on instinct, doing what I know best."
The video showed the process of Hyunsook's semi-DIY interior renovation. After winning a multi-family house at auction and becoming a landlord, she was devastated by the building's terrible condition, saying, "I thought I only needed to fix the tiles, but could anyone even live here?" The property was in serious shape, filled with all kinds of waste and defects. Still, Hyunsook said, "I had nowhere to back down to. I couldn't afford to lose the money. So I just did it," and began repairing it herself.

Hyunsook said, "From wallpaper and tiles to bathroom fixtures, I replaced everything I could. For the interior work, I cut labor costs by doing what I could with my own hands, semi-DIY style, with a friend who handles design. It was hard, but it got done." She added, "After the renovation, cleaning, and security upgrades, it became cleaner than the building next door." After the makeover, her building drew attention for looking neat enough for people to live in comfortably.
Hyunsook, who works as a florist, previously appeared on SBS Plus and ENA's "I'm Solo" and said that real estate auctions are one of her hobbies. After her divorce, she revealed that she is raising three children and owns a 40-pyeong-class apartment, an officetel, and a commercial property, which drew public attention.
Meanwhile, after the end of "I'm Solo" Season 28, Hyunsook revealed in March that she was dating Youngsik from I Am Solo 28th season. The two are in a long-distance relationship between Incheon and Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Youngsik works as a city planning engineer.
