Recently, Jay Park posted on his social media that whenever he tries to order alcohol in the United States, everyone checks his ID. He implied that this means he looks younger than 21.
The post began as lighthearted interaction with fans, but the mood changed quickly after one netizen left a sharp comment.
The netizen wrote, "Believe it or not, you look 45. Bartenders have to check IDs no matter how old someone looks. Otherwise, they could lose their job." The person added, "You are not that important, and you are not that handsome."
Jay Park responded immediately to the unexpected criticism. He said, "Still, I can take care of my parents, friends, and family. What are you doing with your life? I'll wait." He added, "I'll pray for you. Someday, you'll feel comfortable and proud of yourself, and you won't need to put others down behind an anonymous internet account."
He then clarified his original point, saying, "Also, I was talking about getting my ID checked."
