[Sportschosun, Lee Ji-hyun] Singer Nabi opened up about the physical changes she experienced after giving birth and her honest concerns about married life.
On the 11th, the YouTube channel "Gwanjong Un-ni" released a video titled "Lee Ji-hye Stunned, OB-GYN Dr. Kim Ji-yeon Reveals Everything from Pregnancy Tips to Female Surgery (Husbands Not Allowed to Watch)."
The video featured Lee Ji-hye, singer Nabi, broadcaster Park Eun-young, and an obstetrician and gynecologist having an open conversation about changes in sex drive among women in their 40s and the bodily changes that follow childbirth.
During the discussion, Nabi said cautiously, "It was like that after my first child too, and after my second, it became even less. I wondered if I would have to live my whole life without sexual desire."
Nabi, who recently gave birth to her second child, was especially candid. "It has only been 47 days since I gave birth. I haven't fully recovered yet, and I don't have any sex drive at all," she admitted. The other guests responded by sharing their own experiences, saying, "I don't have any either" and "I wondered if something was wrong with me."
Lee Ji-hye also raised a practical question, asking, "Is there some kind of 'total amount law' where if you use it a lot when you're young, you lose your sex drive later?"
The obstetrician and gynecologist explained, "The biggest fact is that it varies from person to person." She added, "For both men and women, sex drive does decline with age because of hormonal changes." She went on to note that women's sex drive can drop sharply after menopause.
She emphasized, however, that the period immediately after childbirth is a natural one. Speaking to Nabi, the specialist said, "Right now, your estrogen levels are relatively low, so it is hard to get aroused and this is the time when sex drive is at its lowest. But as time passes and your hormones recover, it often comes back, so you do not need to worry too much."
When the specialist then asked, "Was your sex life satisfying before? Did you reach orgasm well?" the guests burst into embarrassed laughter. Lee Ji-hye lightened the mood by joking, "Pretend you didn't hear that," turning the set into a scene of laughter.
Nabi married a non-celebrity man one year her senior in 2019. She welcomed her first son in 2021 and recently announced the birth of her daughter.
