[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Epik High's Tablo shared the story of how he came down with pneumonia after performing in heavy rain.
Epik High released a video titled "What Are the Odds of Running Into an Epik High Busking Performance on the Street? ft. Busan Trip" on its official YouTube channel, EPIKASE, on the 11th.
While visiting Busan that day, the members were talking in the suddenly pouring rain when they recalled a performance they had once done in stormy weather.
Tablo began by saying, "We once did a live broadcast for 'Cultwo Show,' and just before we went on stage, the rain started pouring down like CGI."
He continued, "Water had pooled on the stage. It was impossible to go up there wearing shoes, so we went on barefoot," recalling the difficult conditions at the time.
He added, "It was really a situation where the rainwater was already pooling around my ankles," and said, "Even so, we finished the performance all the way through," drawing surprise.
But the price of that performance was high. Tablo confessed, "I got pneumonia that day. Seriously," then added, "There was even a news article about it," drawing laughter.
Epik High's professionalism and determination, even in torrential rain, continue to draw admiration.
Meanwhile, Epik High has been presenting a variety of content every week through EPIKASE with different themes and guests. The group will also hold its first fan meeting, "Alumni," on July 4 and 5 at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul.
