Kim Shin-young Reveals How Kim Young-chul Gave Her a Hard Time After Joining 'Knowing Bros' as a Regular: "Kim Young-chul Told Me Not to Act Up"

[Sportschosun Jo Yoon-sun] Kim Shin-young revealed that Kim Young-chul gave her a hard time.

On the 12th, a video titled "The story of veteran comedian Kim Young-chul's bossy treatment, revealed by Kim Shin-young" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Kim Young-chul Original."

In the video, Kim Shin-young recalled her first recording session after joining Knowing Bros as a regular cast member. She said, "On my first day, senior Young-chul treated me really well. He said, 'Do whatever you want. You have me,' so I worked really hard." She then laughed as she revealed, "But while the show was still going on, he told me, 'Don't come back next week.' The power play was no joke."

In response, Kim Young-chul explained, "The Knowing Bros Producer/Director told me, 'Shin-young will be on for about four weeks, but if she does well, she might become a regular. Take good care of her.' So I thought I definitely wanted Shin-young to become a regular." He added, "I wondered why we hadn't thought of a coed format before, and I thought the idea was great."

He continued, "I told her to do whatever she wanted because she might not adjust well on the first day. But after about 30 minutes, she started flying all over the place, and before I knew it, I said, 'Don't act up too much.'"

Kim Shin-young laughed and said, "I was so flustered that I blurted out, loud enough for the microphone to pick up, 'What is this?'" Kim Young-chul then confessed, "About four hours into the recording, I told her, 'Don't come back next week.'" He quickly clarified, "What better praise is there than that? It was because she was doing so well."

Kim Shin-young then drew more laughter by adding, "When you go to Knowing Bros, Kim Young-chul has two personal emotional trash cans. Kim Hwan, the announcer, and me."

She explained that after being scolded by Kang Ho-dong, Kim Young-chul vents his stress to Kim Hwan and Kim Shin-young. Kim Young-chul replied, "Hwan was exactly the kind of picture I wanted. On his first day, I told him he did really well, and it took him about a month and a half to settle in." He then made everyone laugh by admitting, "Honestly, I was hoping it would take you about four weeks too."

Kim Shin-young ended on a warm note, saying, "Senior Young-chul is funny, but he's also a really good senior. Female juniors like him the most. He listens well, and he's kind and gentle."
