Bae Yong-joon’s White-Haired Long Locks Go Viral, but Fake Photos Spread Even More... His Warm Fatherly Side Remains

[Sportschosun Kim Jun-seok] As actor Bae Yong-joon’s latest update from Singapore has been heating up online, some netizens’ excessive malicious editing of the released photos has come under fire.

Recently, Singaporean media outlets Lianhe Zaobao and AsiaOne reported that Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin visited Singapore with their children, along with actor Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon and their children.

In the released photos and videos, Bae Yong-joon appeared at the airport in a relaxed outfit, with his face covered by a hat and mask.

In particular, his long white hair tied up under the hat drew major attention. Even while pulling a suitcase with one hand, Bae carefully looked after the children walking behind him, showing his warm side as an ordinary father after stepping away from entertainment activities.

However, some have pointed out problems with the way this affectionate update has been handled.

That is because some netizens circulated heavily manipulated composite images of Bae Yong-joon’s recent photos, making him appear much whiter and longer than in the original, or even artificially adding neck wrinkles.

Such malicious editing creates a result that is clearly different from Bae Yong-joon’s natural appearance in the original photos, raising concerns that it could distort public perception.

In the actual published photos, Bae Yong-joon looked like an ordinary family man enjoying a trip with his children.

An entertainment industry insider said, "Although Bae Yong-joon and his wife have left the entertainment world and are living their private lives, maliciously editing and spreading a single photo is an excessive invasion of privacy."

Meanwhile, Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin married in 2015 and have one son and one daughter. They are currently living in Hawaii and are said to be leading a family-centered life away from entertainment activities.
