[Sportschosun, Reporter Kim Jun-seok] Model and actress Hong Yi-seol has directly addressed rumors that she is dating actor Heo Nam-jun, firmly denying the speculation.
On the 13th, Hong Yi-seol posted a lengthy message on her Social Network Service (SNS), saying, "I am carefully writing this because there have been stories circulating about me recently."
She stressed, "The actor being mentioned and I are simply good colleagues who became close while taking classes together in college, and the dating rumors are completely untrue," denying the rumors that spread online.
She also explained why her response came later.
Hong Yi-seol said, "I hesitated to speak up because I was worried my words might cause more misunderstanding," but added, "I decided to address this directly because the continuing speculation could be a burden to the other actor."
She also reassured fans, saying, "The dating rumors and the stories related to the drama that are circulating now are all untrue, so there is no need to worry," and asked, "I would appreciate it if you could refrain from further speculation."
Earlier, speculation had emerged on online communities and Social Network Service (SNS) platforms that Heo Nam-jun and Hong Yi-seol were in a romantic relationship after appearing in the same project. However, Hong Yi-seol put the rumors to rest by directly saying they were "good colleagues," and the matter now appears to be ending as a misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, Heo Nam-jun is currently appearing as Cha Se-gye in the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) drama "Brave New World," while Hong Yi-seol also appeared in the same production as a secretary.
