[Sportschosun Reporter Jo Yoon-sun] Kang Ye-won was left in shock after learning, only after her father's death, that he had left behind debts totaling 1.1 billion won.
On the SBS program "My Little Old Boy," which airs on the 14th, the daily life of actress Kang Ye-won, who won love for films such as "Tidal Wave (Haeundae)" and "Harmony," will be revealed.
That day, Kang Ye-won visited a lawyer to confirm the debts left by her father, who passed away about a month ago. After learning the size of the liabilities he left behind, she was deeply shocked, drawing sympathy from viewers.
The lawyer said, "The debt confirmed so far is 1 billion to 1.1 billion won." He also explained that there could be additional debts that have not yet been verified. Kang Ye-won then asked, "Do I have to pay it right away?" and trailed off, saying, "Because of my father's hospital bills and things like that..."
Later, Kang Ye-won met with employees of her father's company to resolve the debts he left behind. As she shed tears and said, "I will definitely repay the unpaid wages, no matter what," the employees reportedly shared stories she had not known before, raising curiosity.
Kang Ye-won's story will air on SBS's "My Little Old Boy" at 9 p.m. on Sunday the 14th.
