A preview video released on the MBC entertainment YouTube channel on the 13th showed Sora Lee and Hong Jin-kyung sharing their sincere feelings for each other.
That day, Sora Lee prepared a special gift for Hong Jin-kyung. Sitting at the piano, she began to play and said, "For Jin-kyung, I hope her future life will be peaceful and happy."
As the gentle yet deeply moving piano melody continued, Hong Jin-kyung's expression gradually began to waver. It seemed as if the memories and emotions they had built over many years together were rising to the surface with the music.
As Hong Jin-kyung listened to her sister's heartfelt performance, she finally broke down in tears. Sora Lee, watching her, also grew teary-eyed, and the two could not hold back their emotions as they looked at each other.
Their tears left the studio heavy with emotion. The cast members on set also seemed overwhelmed and wiped away their own tears, sharing the moment with them.
Without saying a word, Sora Lee held Hong Jin-kyung's hand tightly to comfort her, then embraced her warmly to show her sincerity. As she tried to steady her emotions, Hong Jin-kyung said, "Thinking about things from the past makes me cry."
She went on to say, "I think we went through so many things. Painful things..." as she recalled the difficult years behind them.
Their bond goes back many years. Along with the late Choi Jin-sil, Sora Lee and Hong Jin-kyung were widely known as part of one of the entertainment industry's closest friend groups, which also included Lee Young-ja, Jung Sun-hee, Uhm Jung-hwa, and Choi Hwa-jung.
However, after Choi Jin-sil suddenly passed away in 2008, the group reportedly began meeting less often. As the two women lived their separate lives and slowly drifted apart, they met again after a long time and brought out old wounds and memories together, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
Their friendship, unchanged even after many years, and their sincerity toward each other left a deep impression on viewers.
