Hong Jin-kyung's Daughter Decides to Join a Collaborative Camp with the University of Oxford: "I Can Finally Gain Power"

[Sportschosun Reporter Lee Woo-joo] Rael, the daughter of model Hong Jin-kyung, has decided to join an educational camp run in collaboration with the University of Oxford and composer Kim Hyung-seok.

A recent video uploaded to Hong Jin-kyung's YouTube channel was titled, "Breaking News: Hong Jin-kyung's daughter Rael decides to join an OOO camp!"

Composer Kim Hyung-seok said, "I formed a connection with the University of Oxford two years ago, and we have discussed a lot about how to approach future education. I was also selected as an influential artist at Oxford and served as a visiting professor. I signed on for two programs there, one on character education and one on leadership. The goal is to build an educational institution in Korea." He added, "In the age of AI, asking questions is far more important than finding answers. Experience matters, and imagination, creativity and the humanities have become extremely important subjects."

Kim Hyung-seok also said, "The children will write essays on humanities topics and turn their essays into music. Mentor teachers will create choreography for them, and we will build a camp where children can enjoy learning philosophy and express themselves through K-pop."

Hong Jin-kyung asked, "Is this a project that will continue?" Kim replied, "It will continue, and the paradigm has completely changed. Education has to be fun. The age of memorization is over. This is an important time to think about what we should teach future children in the AI era and what kind of character education they need. That is what we are doing with Oxford."

Hong Jin-kyung then said, "That's an incredible camp. I'll call Rael and ask her." She immediately phoned her daughter and tried to persuade her, saying, "Go to that camp, straighten out the elementary school kids, and wear an armband." Rael responded with interest, saying, "That sounds so good. Does that mean I can finally gain power?" drawing laughter.
