[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Actor Im Hyun-sik has opened up about his declining health.
On the 14th, a video titled "Park Won-sook ♥ Im Hyun-sik, the End of a 10-Year Crush" was uploaded to Park Won-sook's YouTube channel.
Im Hyun-sik visited Park Won-sook's cafe in Namhae County. Park, who was meeting him for the first time in a while, greeted him by saying, "You look healthy," and Im replied, "I wasn't doing well. I went to the hospital for tests for about three months, and then I took medicine for another five or six months."
Park asked about the pesticide incident Im had mentioned in the past, saying, "I saw it in the news and elsewhere, and it said you drank pesticide. Were you drunk when you did it?"
Im explained, "That was something that happened 20 years ago. I was spraying apple trees and things like that." He added, "I wasn't feeling well, I was coughing, and it was a very hot summer afternoon. I wasn't in good shape, and I started to notice symptoms. Apple-tree pesticide isn't harmless, is it? So I went to a hospital in Ilsan New Town. Later, when I mentioned on a broadcast that I had received treatment for it, people said I had pesticide poisoning."
Park was shocked and said, "I thought you had drunk pesticide while drunk," and Im responded, "Why would I drink pesticide? If you drink it, you die."
The two, who have shared more than 55 years of acting careers, have been carrying on a flirtatious relationship for over a decade. Im made a direct move on Park, saying, "Can't we still achieve what we couldn't in the past? That way, our lives become more beautiful too." Park then shook her head and said, "He's a man of determination."
As Im kept flirting, Park drew the line with a laugh, saying, "He's just doing that for no reason because he has nothing to say. He's a very good neighbor. But I don't like being pursued like that."
