[Sportschosun Reporter Lee Ji-hyun] Mukbang YouTuber Small-Mouthed Haetnim has reportedly been running a dog cafe in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, following the controversy over "Injection Auntie."
Recently, various online pet communities and SNS posts have been filled with eyewitness accounts saying that Small-Mouthed Haetnim has taken over and is operating a dog cafe in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The dog cafe is said to have reopened in April after renovating its existing space. Photos on the cafe's official SNS showed staff carrying out the remodeling work, and Small-Mouthed Haetnim was also spotted visiting the site in person and taking part in the process.
Visitors to the cafe also shared their own accounts, saying, "Small-Mouthed Haetnim was walking around the store wearing an apron," "I saw her directly at the dog cafe," and "Small-Mouthed Haetnim greeted us warmly."
Earlier, Small-Mouthed Haetnim was caught up in allegations that, along with broadcaster Park Na-rae, she had received illegal diet drugs and undergone an intravenous drip procedure without a license from a woman known as "Injection Auntie" last December. After the allegations were reported, she was accused of violating the Medical Service Act and the Narcotics Control Act, and she temporarily suspended her activities on tvN's "Amazing Saturday" and on YouTube.
After the controversy, Small-Mouthed Haetnim released a statement saying, "I sincerely apologize for causing concern to those who have cared for and supported me," and added, "I am taking time to reflect on and organize my thoughts about the allegations and controversy currently being raised."
She also said, "If there is anything I did wrong, I will acknowledge it and will not make excuses or avoid responsibility," and explained, "The man at the center of the controversy, Mr. Lee, was introduced to me by an acquaintance, and I first met him at a hospital in Gangnam District. I believed without question that he was a doctor and received treatment."
