[Sportschosun Kim Soo-hyun] Moon Hee-joon and Soyul, the first idol couple in the industry, shared a lighthearted rivalry over their children's musical talent.
On the 15th, SBS's official YouTube channel released a preview clip from the variety show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny."
Moon Hee-joon of H.O.T. (Highfive of Teenagers) and former Crayon Pop member Soyul, one of the entertainment industry's best-known idol couples, were enjoying a happy daily life with their two children.
That day, their second son, Hee-woo, walked straight to the piano as soon as he came out of his room. Though only four years old, Hee-woo played naturally and skillfully, pressing the keys with ease. Watching him, Jo Woo-jong could not hide his surprise and said, "Why is he so good? He's four?"
Impressed by Hee-woo's exceptional piano skills, Moon Hee-joon proudly said, "Hee-woo takes after his dad." Soyul shot back, "He takes after me, doesn't he?" creating a subtle rivalry.
Last month, the couple uploaded a video of their son's piano performance to YouTube and later had to respond to some online claims that the clip had been manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
Moon Hee-joon previously complained, "Personally, I don't like AI. Not long ago, I uploaded a short video of Hee-woo playing the piano, and there were so many comments saying, 'Isn't this AI?'"
He then expressed confidence, saying, "It's definitely true that his musical talent comes from me." Soyul refused to back down, replying, "He gets that from both of us. I'm a musician too." Moon Hee-joon then made everyone laugh by saying, "Try playing the piano chord Cm."
Their eldest daughter, Hee-yul, also showed off her own special charm. Dreaming of becoming an idol, she drew attention with her impressive dance skills.
When Moon Hee-joon asked, "Who does Hee-yul's dancing take after?" Soyul laughed and said, "She takes after both of us, but the way she shows it off beautifully is like me. I mean her gestures and the way she flaunts her charm."
Meanwhile, Moon Hee-joon and Soyul married in 2017 and are now building a happy family with one son and one daughter.
