[Sportschosun Reporter Lee Ji-hyun] Hanbok researcher Park Sul-nyeo showed her deep affection for BTS by posting proof that she attended the group's concert. Her past connection with BTS, including hanbok she personally made for the members, is also drawing renewed attention.
On the 15th, Park shared several photos and videos on her social media, along with the caption, "I am running to catch the grandmother bus after 20 years. I am going to Busan to see the BTS concert."
She also wrote, "While waiting for the BTS concert, very kind and sweet ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth) members gave me gifts," adding, "Thank you so much to the lovely ARMY members who even prepared a gift for this 70-year-old grandmother." She also revealed snacks she received from fans. Born in 1957, Park is 70 this year.
In the released photos, Park is seen visiting the venue wearing a purple skirt and bag symbolizing BTS, along with various merchandise. She expressed her affection without hesitation, saying, "These are the proud artists who keep introducing South Korea to the world, BTS."
Park and BTS share a special connection. She previously made the hanbok worn by BTS members on stage. In one broadcast, when asked, "Were you ever asked to sell the hanbok BTS wore?" she said, "I once received an offer of up to 35 million won per set," drawing attention.
She added, "It took not only the members' hard work but also the dedication of the agency staff and ARMY fans for BTS to become the global stars they are today." She continued, "I thought it would be impossible to put all of that meaning into money, so I politely turned down the offer," revealing her deep affection.
Meanwhile, BTS held the "BTS World Tour 'Arirang' in Busan" concerts at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on the 12th and 13th, meeting about 110,000 fans. At the show on June 13, their debut anniversary, the members said, "This moment, celebrating our birthday in our hometown and singing with you, is truly meaningful and beautiful," and "Thanks to ARMY, who have been with us for 13 years, we have come this far. We want to keep making music together for a long time."
Fans who filled the seats joined in singing a birthday song to celebrate BTS's 13th anniversary, making the moment even more special.
BTS will begin their European tour with performances in Madrid, Spain, on the 26th and 27th local time. They are scheduled to hold a total of 10 shows in five cities, including Spain, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, and all tickets sold out well in advance.
