[Sportschosun reporter Kim Soo-hyun] Musical actress Kim So-hyun expressed deep pride as she shared news that her son Juan had performed on a U.S. stage.
On the 14th, Kim So-hyun posted several photos along with the message, "I support your first performance in the United States."
She also sent her encouragement and affection to her son, who took part in the performance, saying, "I hope the warm and beautiful music becomes a dream and source of hope for many people."
She added, "Juan started playing the drums as a hobby when he was little, so I am grateful that it can be of even a small help," revealing the overwhelming emotion she felt as a mother.
In the released photos, Juan appeared on stage in a neat suit and showed a composed, mature presence. Having been exposed to music steadily since childhood, he joined the performance that day as a percussionist and stood before the audience.
His steady stage manners and serious attitude, which seemed to reflect his parents' musical talent, drew attention.
In particular, Juan is widely known as a "1% gifted child" for standing out not only in music but also in academics and invention.
Earlier, on the 6th, he attended the awards ceremony for the "2026 UN SDGs Wave Statement" English essay and speech competition and received the top prize in the middle school division.
He has also been recognized on the global stage. After winning gold at the Korea International Youth Olympiad (KIYO 4I), he went on to receive special awards from associations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Poland at an international competition. Meanwhile, Kim So-hyun and Son Jun-ho, one of the star couples of the musical theater world, married in 2011. They welcomed Juan in 2012 and have continued to appear on broadcasts and in performances while regularly sharing glimpses of their happy family life, earning much love from the public.
