[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Comedian Jo Hye-ryun showed off her sharp wit as she candidly opened up about married life with her husband.
A video titled "It turned into chaos after gathering married people" was recently released on the Roborock Korea YouTube channel's "Married Women Club 2."
Honorary Brit, Hong Hyun Hee, Jo Hye-ryun, Im Lara, and Son Min-soo appeared on the show and talked about a range of concerns in married life and ways to resolve conflicts between couples.
In particular, the cast held a lively debate on the topic of "making up right after a fight vs. taking time apart." Honorary Brit said, "I'm the type who needs to make up right away. I'm the Korean type who stays sulky, but my husband is the British type. He always says, 'This is a safe space where you can be angry. Get it out, cry if you need to, and leave it here. But before you go to bed, you have to be in a good mood.'"
"When I get emotionally worked up, my husband calms me down by saying, 'We're in love, so why do we need to get this emotional?' He's completely steady," she said, expressing affection.
She added, "I also try to express my feelings well. How would he know if I don't say anything?" offering a realistic piece of advice.
Hearing this, Song Ha-bin asked, "Don't British people just start kissing while they're fighting?" Honorary Brit looked baffled and said, "I've never seen that before," drawing laughter.
Jo Hye-ryun then chimed in, saying, "If you kiss in the middle of a fight, it would feel even more thrilling," showing her trademark candid humor.
As the mood warmed up, Hong Hyun Hee suddenly asked Jo Hye-ryun, "When was your last kiss?" Without a hint of embarrassment, Jo replied, "We do it regularly. It was two weeks ago. The next one is coming up soon." Her answer sent the set into laughter. She then added, "We do it by appointment," leaving the cast in stitches.
Meanwhile, Jo Hye-ryun married in 1998 and had a son, Wooju, and a daughter, Yoon Ah. She divorced in 2012 and remarried in 2014.
