[Sportschosun reporter Jo Yoon-sun] Jang Dong-min will open up about the hardships of being a father of two.
On Thursday, the 18th, Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s "Where Is My Home" (directed by Jung Da-hi, Nam Yoo-jung, Jang Hyo-jong, and Kim Yu-jin, hereinafter "Where Is My Home") will look at how families divide up their own spaces in a single house.
The episode will feature comedian Jang Dong-min, a married man, actor Lim Hyung-jun, and comedian Kim Ji-yu, who dreams of a romantic newlywed life. The three will visit homes to see how families living under one roof protect their own territory.
Before the house tour begins, Lim Hyung-jun will surprise everyone in the studio by revealing a story about unexpected damage he suffered because of a J.Y. Park impersonation that once drew attention. He will then ignore the embarrassment and deliver an upgraded "2026 version of his J.Y. Park impression," turning the set into a sea of laughter. Kim Ji-yu, known as a "flirting master," will also reveal her own flirting method, which she claims has a 100 percent success rate. She will even stage an impromptu club skit with "club lover" Kim Dae-ho, showing off their playful chemistry. After the skit, there are said to have been a strange atmosphere between the two, further raising curiosity.
The three will also talk about how much space they actually have in their homes. Jang Dong-min said his share of space at home is only about 2 to 3 percent, adding, "The toilet seat is basically my spot," drawing laughter. Lim Hyung-jun also confessed that after marriage, the bathroom became his only private space, saying, "I don't come out until I'm told to," which is expected to resonate with married men.
The first home they visit is a large detached house in Sinwon-dong, Seocho District, where a family of five currently lives. The cast is amazed by the high ceilings and stylish, gallery-like interior. But as they look around the house, the family members' spaces are easy to find, while the father's space remains hard to locate, sparking curiosity. Then a secret staircase reminiscent of the film "Parasite" appears, and at the end of it, a special space beyond everyone's expectations is revealed. Lim Hyung-jun reportedly kept exclaiming, "I'm so jealous," as he admired it. Attention is now focused on what kind of space could have drawn such envy from the married men.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-yu said, "If I get married, I definitely want to stay together all the time," showing that she cannot understand couples sleeping in separate rooms. In response, married veterans Lim Hyung-jun and Jang Dong-min step in to defend the practice by explaining the realities of married life. Jang Dong-min, in particular, is expected to bring laughs by sharing a realistic story from his own home: "My wife was like that at first too, but after we had a child, she actually tells me to sleep in another room."
MBC's "Where Is My Home" episode on territorial battles under one roof will air on Thursday, the 18th, at 10 p.m.
