Tablo Brags About His 16-Year-Old Daughter Haru, Who Debuted as a Lyricist: "I'm a Blessed Dad... We Hardly Ever Fight"

[Sportschosun Cho Yoon-sun] Epik High's Tablo said he and his daughter Haru hardly ever fight.

On the 16th, a video titled "How Should We Live Well...? #Life Advice #Worry Advice" was uploaded to Tablo's YouTube channel.

That day, Tablo responded to a fan who said they were worried about their 14-year-old child's rebellious behavior during puberty. He said, "I was also an annoying kid when I was 14. (Teenage rebellion) is completely normal."

He added, "I'm pretty easygoing, so honestly, I don't know if I'm qualified to give advice," and said, "Haru also has rebellious moments, and sometimes she gets annoyed with me, but it's really mild compared with most."

He went on to say, "Haru is 16 now, and she hardly ever fights with me. She also knows where the line is." He added, "So I think I have it pretty easy, and I'm really blessed."

Tablo said, "When I hear stories from friends raising kids around the same age, they all say they're going crazy. I'm not sure what advice I should give, but didn't we all go through that? I think it's just a phase, and those phases and moments are necessary."

He said, "It's better to go through it at 14 than later. Some people stay angelic until they're 30 and then suddenly explode," adding, "They go back into full 14-year-old mode, saying, 'I was a good kid my whole life, but nobody respected me. Now I want respect.'"

He continued, "Do you know how pathetic that looks at 30? It really doesn't look good." He said, "It's a relief when a 14-year-old acts like a 14-year-old. If they don't do that now, it will only get worse at 30 or 40."

Meanwhile, Tablo married actress Kang Hye-jung in 2009, and the couple has a daughter, Haru. In 2013, he appeared with Haru on KBS2's "The Return of Superman (Superman Is Back)," where they received a lot of love from viewers.

Haru, who is known for her fluent English, is reportedly preparing for the SAT and AP exam, both of which are considered important tests in the U.S. college admissions process.

She also drew attention by joining her father Tablo in writing the lyrics for Kiki's "To Me From Me" and translating the subtitles for the film "Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie." On the 8th, she was also credited as the sole lyricist for RIIZE's new mini album title track "Do Your Dance," drawing renewed attention.
