[Sportschosun, Park A-ram] Broadcaster Park Soo-hong and his wife Kim Da-ye spoke candidly about their plans for a second child.
On the 15th, the YouTube channel "Happy Dahong" released a video titled "Unreleased footage of Dahong and Jaei (Subscriber Q&A) Parenting and Pet-Care Vlog."
In the video, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye took time to answer a range of questions from subscribers. The couple drew attention as they openly discussed everything from their daughter Jaei's recent upbringing to plans for a second child.
Kim Da-ye, who said they are currently raising their 20-month-old daughter at home, noted, "We haven't sent her to daycare yet." She added, "We take her to places like Lotte World, forest experience programs, and sand play, so she can have a variety of experiences."
Park Soo-hong also said he treasures the time he spends with his daughter above all else. "Jaei loves it so much that she even does the 'manse' gesture," he said, describing their happy parenting routine. Kim Da-ye added, "Since my husband became a father later in life, I think he feels he doesn't have enough time with the child. We are trying to spend as much time together as possible."
Questions about a second child, which had drawn particular interest from subscribers, also came up. Kim Da-ye cautiously began by saying, "It's not that we have no plans at all for a second child."
Park Soo-hong then said, "When Jaei gets a little older and can express her own wishes, we'll ask her directly whether she wants a sibling and make our decision then." He added, "I want to respect Jaei's opinion too."
The couple also apologized for the delay in answering subscribers' questions because of parenting duties. Park Soo-hong laughed as he said, "Parenting is much more hectic than I expected. We kept putting it off, and only now are we finally getting around to answering."
Meanwhile, in a video released on the 1st, the couple said they were planning to seriously discuss a second child with a target of the second half of this year.
Park Soo-hong married Kim Da-ye, who is 23 years younger than him, in 2021. After IVF treatment, they welcomed their first daughter, Jaei, and are now continuing their happy family life.
