[Sportschosun reporter Park A-ram] Broadcaster Park Soo-hong has confessed that the wounds from his family conflict have not fully healed.
On the 15th, a video titled "Unreleased footage of Dahong and Jae-i (subscriber Q&A) parenting and pet vlog" was uploaded to the channel "Happy Dahong."
That day, Park Soo-hong and his wife Kim Da-ye answered subscribers' questions and spoke candidly about their difficult past and how they feel now.
In particular, Kim Da-ye expressed gratitude for the support from online users, saying, "When I read the comments, there are many people saying, 'I'm glad Park Soo-hong is happy.'" Park Soo-hong also said, "I'm truly grateful. I always say thank you, and it's all because of you."
Kim Da-ye said, "We went through a lot of hardship. To anyone looking at us, we seemed unhappy, and there were many such moments. There was a dark time when we could not see the future, but we worked very hard to become happy too." She added, "Even now, when something difficult happens, we tell each other, 'It's better than it was back then.' And when we look at our daughter and our pet cat, we feel happy, and that is how we held on."
Park Soo-hong said the pain caused by conflict within his family still remains. He honestly admitted, "It still hasn't fully healed," suggesting that the long-lasting hurt continues to affect him today.
He added, however, that his wife Kim Da-ye, their daughter Jae-i, and their pet cat Dahong have been a great source of strength. Park Soo-hong said, "Da-ye, Dahong, and Jae-i comfort me a lot and love me so much that I have gotten much better," explaining that he is slowly recovering from the wounds with the help of his family.
Park Soo-hong has been involved in a long legal battle over embezzlement allegations against his older brother and his brother's wife. The couple was indicted for allegedly misappropriating tens of billions of won in corporate and personal funds while handling Park Soo-hong's management affairs from 2011 to 2021.
The process also deepened the family rift. In particular, relations worsened after Park Soo-hong's parents were reported to have supported his older brother's side during the dispute, and it has since been said that he is effectively estranged from his parents.
