[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Actress Go Ah-sung confessed to a failed investment.
On the 14th, the YouTube content "Urban Women’s Shelter" uploaded a video titled "How Much Money Does a Woman Need to Live Alone? Four Women Answer Virginia Woolf’s 100-Year-Old Question."
The topic of the day was money and investing. Go Ah-sung, who said she had never invested before, recalled, "I have one disastrous investment that became a lifelong regret. It is not really something I can call investing, but I heard somewhere that if you go to Japan, you should buy a whisky called Hibiki about 10 years ago." She added, "It was hard to find, but by chance, there was one. It was about 500,000 won at the time, and I was told to buy it no matter what, so I did. I should have kept it, but I drank it."
Director Kim Cho-hee asked, "Did you drink it right after buying it?" Go Ah-sung replied, "I came back to Korea and was so curious that I opened the bottle. While drinking it, it tasted so good that I shared it with other people, and then its price rose to 40 million won. If I had not drunk it, I would have 40 million won. Isn't that so sad?" Her story left everyone stunned.
Editor Kim Min-kyung said, "That is why I do nothing, because I am afraid something like that will happen to me. If something like this happened in my life, I would never recover." Go Ah-sung then cheerfully said, "I drank a 40-million-won bottle. Next year, I will be saying I drank a 50-million-won bottle."
In response, editor Kim Min-kyung said, "There is no way to recover that lightly," and director Kim Cho-hee delivered a memorable line, saying, "For people like that, it is better not to do it. You try to get rich, but end up becoming a patient."
