[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Comedian Mija candidly revealed that she lost about 100 million won in stock investments.
On the 16th, Mija spent time interacting with fans through her social networking service (SNS). She answered a variety of questions and shared an update on how she has been doing.
When one fan asked, "How are your stocks doing?" Mija replied, "I sold after taking a huge loss yesterday, and it went up today. I guess it rose because I sold it," drawing laughter. She turned a situation many investors may have experienced at least once into a self-deprecating joke.
When another fan mentioned that a certain construction stock had risen 19.87%, Mija quipped, "Yes, I sold it yesterday," and showed her bitter feelings with a witty comeback.
When asked, "How much have you lost in stocks?" she honestly answered, "About 100 million won, to be exact," drawing attention.
Earlier, on the 15th, Mija had already shared recent updates on her stock investments through her YouTube channel. At the time, her husband, comedian Kim Tae Hyun, made viewers laugh by revealing, "Mija bought Samsung Electronics in the 90,000-won range and got stuck with it."
Mija explained, "I bought it at 86,000 won and sold it at 97,000 won. I recently got back into the stock market." However, her investment results after that were not what she had expected.
Kim Tae Hyun said, "Samsung Electronics and SK hynix were too expensive to get into, so she went into construction stocks. In this bull market, too," and Mija could not hide her frustrated expression.
Mija then said, "I lost tens of millions of won. Just a few days after getting in, I'm already down 20%." She went on to explain her investment logic, saying, "After a war ends, what would rise first? Common sense. Everything has been reduced to ruins, hasn't it? What would rise first? Think about it logically." But those around her could not easily come up with an answer, which made everyone laugh.
