[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan gave an update on Yang Sang-guk.
On the 16th, a video titled "Running Wild from the First Day of Season 3. Who Will Be the Next Guest? | Alttalram Season 3 EP.1" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Alttalram'. As the new season began, Heo Kyung-hwan, Muzie, and Ahn Jae-hyun reunited and looked back on the previous season in a more relaxed atmosphere.
That day, the three asked, "Which episode has gotten the most views so far?" The production team replied that it was the episode featuring Yang Sang-guk. Heo Kyung-hwan then expressed his gratitude, saying, "Sang-guk really went all out that time."
Muzie then cautiously asked, "Is Sang-guk doing okay?" and brought up how he had been doing since the recent 'attitude controversy.' Heo Kyung-hwan responded, "Sang-guk is doing repentance activities," and added, "Up until then, he was running like a train with no brakes..." expressing his regret.
Hearing this, Muzie recalled his own early days as a rookie and empathized. He said, "When I first started on TV, I did an impression of senior Cho Yong-pil, and people liked it so much that the production team asked me to do it every time I appeared. But it ended up looking like I was doing it on my own, not because someone asked me to. Still, I followed their instructions, and fans would say, 'Why are you doing it when no one asked you to?'"
He continued, "I was working hard in my own way because there was a response, but sometimes that effort ends up making you unlikable. You only become careful after going through that." Heo Kyung-hwan also nodded and said, "That's right. It's our fate."
Meanwhile, Yang Sang-guk recently enjoyed another peak in popularity with his 'Crown Prince of Gimhae' character. However, his unpredictable remarks later sparked an attitude controversy. Appearing on DdeunDdeun's 'Pinggyego,' he drew criticism for being rude after telling senior Yoo Jae-suk, "I'll scold you," and making comments such as, "Men from Gyeongsang Province don't take women home." The controversy grew after viewers said he disrupted the flow with excessive reactions and forced bits on tvN's 'Amazing Saturday,' including shouting loudly and refusing to play along with junior comedian Kim Hae-joon's role-play. Yang Sang-guk later issued a public apology, saying, "I am sorry for causing discomfort."
