On the MBN variety show Someone's Precious Family, which aired on the 16th, the unusual affection Go's parents have for their daughter and their honest concerns about marriage drew viewers' attention.
That day, Go Joon-hee's parents announced their "marriage operation for their grown daughter" and visited a matchmaking agency through an acquaintance's introduction. Because they kept it secret from their daughter, their earnest feelings stood out even more.
After meeting the agency's CEO, Go Joon-hee's parents said they were frustrated that their daughter did not seem to realize she was getting older. They expressed hope that she would meet a good match soon and build a happy family before it was too late.
They also said their concern was even greater because Go Joon-hee has long hoped to have children. Her mother said, "She wants to have a baby too. So I told her, 'How pitiful would your child be? The moment you give birth, the mother becomes a grandmother.'"
She added, "When Joon-hee was around 35, I persuaded her and she froze her eggs." Her remarks revealed the parents' very real worries about their daughter's future.
The consultation results released that day also drew attention. Despite her age, Go Joon-hee was found to rank in the top 10 percent among full members in the matchmaking agency's evaluation. Her parents looked relieved, and her mother, now visibly brighter, shared her daughter's ideal type.
Her mother explained, "Because she is tall herself, she wants to meet someone even taller than she is," and added, "She likes tall men without double eyelids." She then said, "I think she likes someone with a vibe like Son Suk-ku," drawing laughter.
