Moon Hee-joon Says Wife Soyul Nearly Became a "Rotisserie Chicken"... There Was a Reason for His Constant Nagging

[Sportschosun reporter Kim Jun-seok] Moon Hee-joon revealed the everyday life of a real-life married couple, showering his wife Soyul, who is 13 years younger than him, with relentless nagging.

On the SBS program "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny" aired on the 16th, the daily life of Moon Hee-joon and Soyul, the first idol couple to marry, was shown as they marked their 10th year of marriage.

In an interview with the production team that day, Soyul opened up, saying, "My husband feels like the head of an agency, and I feel like a trainee."

She added with a bittersweet laugh, "He sleeps and wakes up whenever he wants, and he seems so free."

Their contrasting personalities also stood out in the daily life footage that was shown. Moon Hee-joon started playing games while eating snacks in the living room, while Soyul returned home with a tired look after dropping off their two children at daycare and school by herself.

The panelists said, "Isn't Moon Hee-joon the one who should be getting nagged?" But Soyul defended her husband, saying, "He works outside the home, so we divided up our roles."

However, as soon as Soyul came home, Moon Hee-joon said he was hungry and asked for a meal. His "nagging mode" kicked in fully while she was preparing breakfast.

Moon Hee-joon said, "When we were newlyweds, I used to write the expiration date on every item in the refrigerator myself," adding, "Since these are foods our children eat, I want us to be strict about expiration dates."

He went on to recall, "Once, I ate bean sprouts that had gone bad without realizing it, and I shouted, 'Spit it out!' to the kids, so all three of us spat out our food at the same time."

He also firmly pointed out that Soyul had placed a heated frying pan on the dining table or left the induction stove on, saying, "There goes another fire."

Moon Hee-joon complained, "I'm not nagging. I'm sending an SOS to survive."

He also shared an old story about Soyul putting aluminum foil straight into the microwave, which caused sparks. Moon Hee-joon said, "Fortunately, I was home at the time, so I could handle it," and added that Soyul had once nearly been electrocuted when she touched the cord of a hair dryer with wet hands while doing the dishes.

Soyul responded, saying, "I don't remember any of that at all. I think my husband is exaggerating," while Moon Hee-joon vented his frustration, saying, "She really almost became a rotisserie chicken," drawing laughter.
