[Sportschosun reporter Woo Joo Lee] Jeong-suk of Season 20 explained why she left a major company just one month after appearing on 'I Am Solo'.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel 'Ena Bunsik' uploaded a video titled "The Truth Behind the 'I Am Solo' Kissing Girl Rumor!"
Jeong-suk, who became widely known as the "kissing girl" from 'I Am Solo,' is now working as an influencer after leaving her corporate job. Speaking about her concerns, she said, "Once I got the image of the kissing girl, people started looking at me in a bad way, and a lot of bad rumors and false stories spread. I want to explain myself here and also clean up my image."
Jeong-suk said, "I was basically pushed out of the company, and the reason I left was that people on workplace communities claimed I carried a recorder around while I was working there, recorded everything people said, and filed complaints and sexual harassment reports. But bringing in a recorder is not allowed. Even in a highly secure company, cameras and recording devices are blocked as soon as you enter. They knew that too, but still wrote those things." She added that she felt wronged.
"I think someone I know wrote it," she said in tears. "It seems like it could have been someone on my team or in the neighboring team." She continued, "People may not realize it, but I kind of fell into a depression, and it felt like my life was separating from reality. From that point on, my coworkers also started acting like they were not close to me. Society felt very scary back then."
Jeong-suk, who said she had only been able to work at the company for about a month after appearing on 'I Am Solo,' said, "Working there became impossible. I thought I should quit and try doing my own thing, so I left. Even after quitting, rumors spread that I had been fired."
Jeong-suk also said she responded directly to malicious comments. "Through my lawyer, I filed a second round of lawsuits. Comments like 'She looks like a bar girl' and 'plastic surgery monster' were, of course, part of it," she said calmly, drawing sympathy.
Meanwhile, Jeong-suk of Season 20 appeared on the YouTube channel 'Jisangryeol & KCM's Vicarious Satisfaction' in March and compared her current life with her life as a corporate employee. Jeong-suk, who said she had been an assistant manager before quitting, revealed, "When I added everything up, including performance bonuses, I made about 100 million won a year." She added, "The money I make after quitting is about the price of one midsize car a month," surprising viewers.
